KUW Insights Podcast
I love insights that are based on the knowledge, understanding and wisdom sourced from the Word of God.These three parameters are what insights are all about as the Lord advocates that by wisdom a house is built; and through understanding it is established; through knowledge its rooms are filled with rare and beautiful treasures. We need to create time in our busy schedule to slow down and ponder over the finer things of life. Our thinking should be facilitated by the Holy Spirit who will cause our thought patterns to align with that of the Almighty God

Welcome to the KUW Insight Podcast. Today’s insight is titled Character Development Process written by Ade Ojomo and read by Morenike Olubode:
1. Do you take time to review your strengths and weakness when it comes to character
2. How are you addressing these two key areas?
3. Whom do you go to for guidance?
Welcome to the KUW Insight Podcast. Today’s insight is titled Character Development Process written by Ade Ojomo and read by Morenike Olubode:

For some reason, there is this false notion that once you give your life to Jesus, then old things have totally passed away. In other words, there is often a belief that once you are saved, then you should literally become a perfect creation.
This belief is unfair and puts a lot of pressure on new converts to Jesus Christ. We have to remember that negative character traits that were developed over many years are not going to disappear overnight unless by a super divine miracle.
If you liked pizza before the conversion, your taste buds are not going to change immediately after the conversion.
I heard a testimony by the lead singer of the Rock Group called Black Sabbath. When he became a Christian, he was condemned for smoking cigarettes. He responded by telling them, that if they knew his background that they will know that he is coming from a history of heavy drugs, women and all sorts of evil ventures. For him to be only smoking the odd cigarette, they should thank God for his gradual process of character development rather than criticising him!
Character development is a process we will all undergo until Christ comes again. This is confirmed in Philippians 1 v 3 – 6:
“I thank my God every time I remember you. In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus”
We need to remember the following:
1. We are all a work in progress,
2. God’s grace is sufficient to take us through the process
3. Finally we are assured that what he starts in us, he is faithful to make us perfect and complete in Christ
